There’s great excitement at Totnes Rare Breeds, as today sees the launch of ‘3 Great Attractions, One Amazing Day’: Devon’s new fun-packed day out. The farm is joining forces with two more of Devon’s leading attractions, the South Devon Railway and The Dartmoor Otters and Buckfast Butterflies, which together offer a full and varied day of activities, with something to appeal to almost everyone.
Today’s launch, just in time for the Easter break, will guide local press and prestigious visitors around the three attractions, taking them from the Otters and Butterflies at Buckfastleigh along the beautiful seven-mile Steam Railway before they arrive at the farm. Everyone at this end is hoping the guests will discover their inner child among bottle-fed lambs, cuddly owls and hungry, naughty goats.
Although joint tickets for the three attractions have been available for years, the three attractions are now concentrating on pooling their resources to promote this great family day out, which offers great value for money
‘We just want people to chill out’ explained Barrie Tolley, owner of Totnes Rare Breeds. ‘Relax, we’re going to show you a beautiful part of the world, whilst doing our utmost to make sure every member of the family is entertained. This is about the good things: stunning scenery and charming animals, plus lovely food, free parking, and friendly staff. This is not about driving around with bored children in the back trying to decide what to do next’.
